New England Scent Dogs’ second annual Sniffathon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Please note: This location includes stairs. Teams will have two searches on the first floor, and 2-3 searches on the second floor. This requires going up one set of stairs and coming down a different, slightly more narrow, set of stairs (this can be adjusted to one set of stairs if needed). If you cannot do stairs, you are still welcome to sign up and run the first-floor searches only.

Each team will get 4-5 searches. Birch, Anise, Clove and combos may be used. Searches will be done back to back, all indoors. Max 2 dogs per handler. Levels offered:

• Beginner level: 1-3 hides per search, all hides accessible, handler knows the number of hides. This is appropriate for dogs working toward an ORT or NW1 title.
• Advanced level: 1-6 hides per search, some hides may be inaccessible, handler does not know the number of hides (can choose to ask the #). This is appropriate for dogs working toward an NW2, NW3 or Elite title.
