For all class levels, dogs will work one at a time in the search area. Dogs must be safely contained in your vehicle or in a crate (crates are available inside the building; dogs must be able to remain quiet in their crate due to proximity to the search areas) when not searching.
Competition prep class for ORT and NW1

This class is for teams that have completed Intro to Nose Work and Intro to Odor and are familiar with all three NACSW scents (birch, anise, clove). We will work on container searches and single-hide searches that will prepare teams for the ORT or NW1 competition.

This class follows Intro to Odor and focuses on building the dog’s drive to search for the odors used in competition (Birch, Anise, Clove). Dogs must complete Intro to Odor Level 1 and Level 2 to attend. Classes will be held indoors. All dogs work one at a time in the search area and must be kept securely in a car or crate (crates are available indoors) in between their turn.
Intro to Odor

Dogs must complete Intro to K9 Nose Work Level 1 and Level 2 to attend. Classes will be held indoors. Intro to K9 Nose Work
Sundays 2:30 – 3:30 pm

This class introduces the concept of K9 Nose Work to dogs and their handlers using food or toy rewards in a positive environment. Classes will be held indoors. All dogs work one at a time in the search area and must be kept securely in a car or crate (crates are available indoors) in between their turn.
