About

New England Scent Dogs is owned and operated by Anne Steciw, CNWI. Anne started NESD because she wanted to bring more opportunities for fellow enthusiasts to participate in the sport.

Anne has been a member of the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW) since 2010, and has competed in over 100 official NACSW K9 Nose Work trials with five different dogs. She and her dog Rockit were the first team on the U.S. east coast to reach NW3 Elite and were qualified to compete in the 2014 and 2015 NACSW Nationals. Her other dog Spiffy earned two NW3 titles, along with several element specialty titles. Anne also competed with a friend’s dogs, Taboo and Slingshot, earning multiple titles with each dog in just a few years.

NESD’s goal is to host K9 Nose Work events and classes at a variety of “real-world” locations, giving dog and handler teams a chance to practice their skills without the cost and pressure of an official trial.
